Meet By Faith

By Faith was formed in October 1994 when brothers Johnny and Ronnie Brown felt the call on their lives to travel and sing in ministry. They had no idea what the future would hold, only that they needed to surrender to God. In September 2002, the need arose for another singer to sing alto. Johnny's daughter, Heather, felt God calling her to join the group. They traveled and sang as a trio for several years. Then in August 2016; Ronnie's daughter, Hannah, felt God calling her to sing with the group. They became a mixed quartet and have been having the time of their lives as a family.

Johnny Brown

Baritone/Bass

Johnny married Nancy Brown, our sound manager, in 1979 and were eventually blessed with two kids. At the age of 33, he answered God's call and has been singing ever since. In 2022, Johnny found out he had prostate cancer, and was informed the doctors could not cure it. But God had other plans. He is now in medical remission!  We thank God everyday!

Ronnie Brown

Lead/Bass

Ronnie married Amy Brown in 1992 and were eventually blessed with two daughters. Ronnie answered God's call to ministry at the age of 28. He has faced many ups and downs in his life, but has always remained faithful. In July 2023, Ronnie found out he needed triple bypass surgery. Thankfully, he had no complications and almost no pain. He was back on stage a few months later.

Heather Brown Fowler

Alto

Heather is Johnny's daughter. She married Jason Fowler in 2016 and the two have three kids. Heather had been around southern gospel music her whole life and loved to sing, but in September 2002, she felt God leading her to join the group. Heather is the glue of By Faith with her rich alto harmony. She has had plenty of obstacles to face, but she always stays strong and resilient in everything she does.

Hannah Brown

Soprano

Hannah grew up around southern gospel music her whole life, and started singing on stage when she was young. Ronnie, her father, prayed over her when she was little that she would be gifted with the ability to sing soprano. As she got older, she shied away from singing in front of people. But when she was a junior in high school, she felt God calling her to sing with the group. So in August 2016, she joined the group and By Faith developed the family harmony you hear today.
